We can spend a lot of time focusing on why we’re here, what we’re supposed to be doing and how.
We can spend more energy focused on the why than we actually focus on living.
And by living, I mean showing up. Staying in our bodies so that we can be fully present and aware. Simply being.
It’s no easy task. Not in this world that seeks to pull us in a dozen directions at once, to keep a dozen tabs open in our heads at any given time.
If we’re distracted and busy, we stay in the dark.
We miss the little details and even sometimes the big ones.
We forget what simple pleasures feel like in the constant yearning for what’s next.
It’s alluring and deceiving. It seems right and it feels wrong.
And it doesn’t have to be.
We can simply be.
How are you simply being today?
