When I first started on my current spiritual path, there were a lot of new words that came into my awareness.
Words like love, light, peace, awakening.
And they all felt really good. Deceptively good.
The truth is, living a purposeful, fulfilling life doesn’t always feel good.
A lot of time it actually sucks.
There is so much healing, so much uncovering of unconscious beliefs and old wounds, so much rewriting of old rules and tearing down of old walls.
Real growth is messy and challenging. But oh so rewarding.
And in my experience, what greets us at each gateway isn’t a balm of love and light – it’s the next beautiful iteration of our own unstoppable self, standing in the ashes and still finding ways to rise.
How are you reaching past what feels good today to the deep growth below?
