I spent many years trying to live life “by the book.”
Getting good grades.
Going to college.
Getting a job.
Building a career.
There’s nothing inherently wrong with these things, except when you find something isn’t working.
And then our world is pretty good at reminding us that there are certain ways we’re expected to be. Like:
All subjective and, frankly, soul-numbing measures of human success.
It takes great courage to show up in ways that are more authentic.
I’m still unlearning all that I thought I needed to be.
How about you?
